View Recording and Resources
February 2023: Upgrading existing HVAC systems is a key strategy school districts should consider for improving indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Join the Center for Green Schools and the Department of Energy's Efficient and Healthy Schools Campaign for this free webinar geared toward helping school districts identify retrofit approaches given their existing equipment and building conditions. From smaller retrofits to complete equipment replacement, Corey Metzger, Schools Team Lead of the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force, will dive into options focused on improving IAQ by HVAC system types commonly used in schools. Dr. Kirsten Koehler, associate professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will then share results of a study evaluating indoor air quality in Baltimore City Public Schools pre- and post- renovation projects.
This webinar is hosted in partnership by the Center for Green Schools and the Efficient and Healthy Schools Campaign.
